Fresh Ugandan Avocado, sold individually. Ugandan avocados are known for their rich, buttery flesh and large size — distinctly different in character from the small Hass avocados common in UK supermarkets. The flesh is creamy, the flavour mild and slightly sweet, the size generous enough to feed several. Particularly popular across African and Caribbean households for sliced avocado on the side of breakfast, lunch, or dinner; for mashing into spreads; or for slicing into salads. Ripen at room temperature; eat when the fruit yields gently to pressure under the skin.
